2010 Ford Taurus

The 2010 Ford Taurus is a Marriage of Practicality, Power, and Convenience

The 2010 Taurus fuses sensibility, style and comfort in a unique blend that only Ford can offer. It comes in a range of trim styles from the showy and sophisticated Limited trim, to the road dominating SHO trim, to the base SE trim. The SEL trim falls between the SE and Limited trims in the range of refinement. All trim styles come with either front wheel drive or rear wheel drive and all trims except for the SHO trim have a 263 hp 3.5L V6 Duratec engine. The SHO trim has a 365 hp GTDI V6 EcoBoost engine. Each Taurus seats five and the fuel economy ranges from 17-18 MPG city to 24-28 MPG highway.

The mechanical standard equipment on the 2010 Taurus includes 4-wheel anti-locking disc brakes and 6-speed automatic transmission. The exterior is bold and yet playful, with accents that draw the eye in, like the front grille. Standard exterior features on every Taurus include solar tinted glass and body color exterior handles. You'll also enjoy the Easy Fuelâ„¢ capless fuel-filler system which incorporates a flapper door and no hard to manipulate screw on fuel-cap. You simply insert the fuel nozzle into the tank to fill up and when you're done the flapper door seals itself without any fuss.

The interior of every 2010 Taurus includes convenient features like delayed accessory lighting, second row reading lights, a 1st row dome lamp, three power points for plugging in electronics, sliding driver and passenger sunvisors, and a fold down armrest with cupholders for the rear seats. Drivers and passengers will also appreciate a front center console with cupholders, a particulate air filter, and a fold flat 60/40 rear bench.

The technological features that are included on the 2010 Taurus are both expected and innovative. You'll get a rear window defroster, a trip computer, an audio input jack, and an instrument cluster with a message center. Additionally, each 2010 Taurus comes with MyKey, which is designed to help teenagers drive safer. Parents can program MyKey to restrict driving speed and audio volume to certain levels.

The safety features on the 2010 Taurus include Advance Trac with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) which helps drivers to stay on the road by monitoring various vehicle systems as well as tire skid and slip. If the system senses excessive wheel slip, the system intervenes by braking and reducing engine torque, thus helping you prevent an accident. Each 2010 Taurus also comes with the SOS Post Crash Alert System, which is activated when the air bags are deployed. This system unlocks the doors, activates the horn, and turns on the emergency flashers. Other important safety features include side impact and safety canopy airbags with a rollover sensor, anti-theft SecuriLock, keyless entry with an integrated key-head transmitter, and brake and engine actuated traction control for managing steep or unforgiving terrain.
