2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hybrid

This Muscle Truck has Fuel Efficiency and Interior Comfort

Now there's an option for those Chevy truck lovers who want to get 40 percent better fuel efficiency in the city and 25 percent better fuel efficiency on the highway. We're talking about the 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Hybrid that has a gasoline/electric powertrain that can operate using both or either. The engine also uses cylinder deactivation technology, which works in the second mode to help lessen fuel consumption. The exterior is also more aerodynamic and it doesn't sacrifice power for fuel efficiency. It can still pump out 332 hp with its 6.0-liter V-8.

Mechanical standard equippment on the Silverado 1500 Hybrid includes a Vortec 6.0L V8 SFI, LIVC engine With Active Fuel Management, late intake valve closing, and a heavy duty automatic locking rear aluminum differential. You'll also find strong hybrid specific 2-mode EVT 4-speed automatic Transmission, and a heavy-duty Trailering Package, which includes a trailering hitch platform; a 2-inch receiver; a 7-wire harness (harness includes wires for: park lamps, backup lamps, right turn, left turn, electric brake lead, battery and ground); independent fused trailering circuits mated to a 7-way sealed connector; a wiring harness for an after-market trailer brake controller (located in the instrument panel harness); and a single wire for the center high-mounted stop lamp. Whether you want to stay in town or try your luck out in the wild blue yonder, the suspension package won't let you down. It includes 46 mm piston monotube shocks, a 34mm front stabilizer bar, semi-elliptic rear 2-stage multi-leaf springs, and front independent, coil over shock suspension.

Chevy enthusiasts will also be glad to know that this Silverado comes with StabiliTrak with Proactive Roll Avoidance and traction control. StabiliTrak uses an onboard computer to measure wheel traction, speed, throttle positions, and the steering wheel and can sense an impending loss of control and apply the correct amount of braking force to the wheel or wheels while reducing engine power to prevent an accident.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 Hybrid can roll with the best of them as far a appearances go. It has a muscular, aerodynamic build that doesn't scream, "Hybrid!" Exterior elements that make it easy on the eyes include 18" x 8" chrome-clad aluminum wheels, bodyside, body-colored moldings, and a chrome surround grille. Convenient exterior elements include Solar-Ray deep-tinted glass, Daytime Running Lamps, an EZ-Lift locking tailgate, a spare tire with a keyed cylinder lock that utilizes the same key as the ignition and door, and a Fleetside pickup box.

The interior of this Silverado is roomy and comfortable. The front driver's seat has an adjuster as well as manual lumbar control. The rear has a 3-passenger full-width folding bench that includes a child seat top tether anchor. The leather-wrapped steering wheel includes mounted audio controls, electronic cruise control with set and resume speed, and a theft-deterrent locking feature. You can remain connected with the Bluetooth for your cell phone that's connected to the vehicle's audio system. Plus, you can control the temperature easily with the dual-zone automatic climate control that comes with individual climate settings for the driver and right-front passenger as well as power windows with driver Express-Down. A Driver Information Center also comes standard and includes a trip odometer, an 8 point compass, outside temperature, and a message center that monitors numerous systems depending on the vehicle equipment level including low fuel, turn signal "on", transmission temperature and oil change notification. Additionally, power door locks and 2 auxiliary instrument panel-mounted 12-volt power outlets with covers also come standard.

You can't really put a price tag on keeping your loved ones safe and secure. Fortunately you don't have to with the Silverado 1500 Hybrid. It comes standard with one year of free OnStar. The Safe and Sound plan acts as a link to existing emergency services and includes Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance, Automatic Notification of Air Bag Deployment, Automatic Crash Notification, Hands-Free Calling, Roadside Assistance, Remote Horn and Lights, Remote Door Unlock, and OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics. Other notable safety features include head curtain side-impact airbags on the front and rear outboard seating positions with a rollover sensor, driver and right-front passenger airbags with a Passenger Sensing System, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

With all of that safety, convenience, and fuel-saving efficiency it's hard to ignore this Silverado. Call today to schedule a test drive!
