2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid
2009 Escalade Hybrid
Last summer Cadillac premiered another large, luxury SUV. However, there was something quite peculiar about this new luxurious SUV. Functioning on a modern, fuel-saving 2-Mode Hybrid system, this SUV promised to deliver a 45 percent improvement in fuel economy in city driving, and it did. Even with Cadillac turning all eco-friendly on us it still managed to deliver the same idiosyncratic style, and segment-leading features that Cadillac Escalades are known for. And so, the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid went on sale on 2008. And for 2009 we’re all expecting an improved, faster, more fuel-efficient green monster. The Escalade Hybrid will come in 2WD and 4WD configurations, and of course this Hybrid will have the entire standard package of comfort and convenience that Escalades come equipped with for 2009. For example, if you were wondering about that awesome XM NavTraffic feature that enhances the Escalade’s navigation system by showing real-time traffic when it’s needed most, yeah it’s included. What about entertainment, will the 2009 Escalade Hybrid include all of those delicious entertainment perks? Well to name a few, the entertainment features on the 2009 Hybrid Escalade include: Audio system with navigation, AM/FM/XM stereo with CD/DVD/MP3 player and full-featured touch screen DVD-integrated navigation, an Entertainment system, rear seat, in-dash DVD player w/ remote control, overhead display, 2 wireless infrared headphones, auxiliary audio/video jacks on rear of center console, sound compression, and LED backlighting display. The technology and entertainment features on the Escalade Hybrid are comparable to those some of us have at home. And if you want to know how your Hybrid is doing, with that cool eight-inch, touch-screen navigation system that displays those Hybrid performance readouts on the screen, you’ll be able to keep track of its performance. Certainly with all these distracting features we wouldn’t want to stray you from what’s most important here: your safety. Well with those dual-stage frontal air bags with passenger sensing system, your passengers including children will be safe. Now, let’s get into the mechanical stuff, standard on the Escalade Hybrid is that innovative Vortec 6.0L Hybrid, SFI, LIVC with AFM engine, a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, rack-and-pinion steering power, all-speed, electronic traction control, electronic throttle control, a heavy duty air to oil external transmission oil cooler, and a heavy duty battery with rundown protection and retained accessory power.
